Sangla valley, also known as Baspa Valley, is one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh. It starts from Karchham where the Baspa river joins the Satluj.  Sangla Valley has been named after a beautiful village Sangla, village is situated on the right bank of Baspa River 17 km from Karcham and National High way. The valley is thickly forested with tall deodars and the stately chilgoza(pine).  This lovely village has artisans of great talent as well as the general looks of the woman in the area is indeed glamorous. Beauty of the area as if transcends both mankind and nature. Bapsa river which flows in this area is a tributary of the river Sutlej and its banks provide the view of snow clad mountains on one side while the greenery on the other side of the valley is equally if not more breathtaking.  Trout fishing is one of the best activity can be done at Sangla. Orchards of Apple, walnut and apricot that fill this area are also at their ripened best during the months of September and October.  Other than the trout farm there is the fort of the Kings who rules Kinnaur that offers good tourist interest. A handicraft created by local people is also quite attractive.

Fishing in Sangla : Fly anglers would find the Sangla valley a perfect place for enjoying their sporting passion. This was where the first Trout breeding firm in India had been established. That was way back in 1926. The hatchery set up on the river Bapsa allows for the excitement of the anglers to get a big catch of the trout. Permits have to be obtained for fishing in this area,
