Indrahar pass forms the border between Kangra and Chamba districts. It is part of a very popular trekking route from Dharamshala. This trek over the Inderhar pass is no exception, even though it follows one of the more established trails used by the Gaddi shepherds enroot to their summer grazing pastures in the upper Ravi Valley and Lauhal. The ascent to the Inderhar Pass involves a steep climb and is challenging. We might find some local shepherds (Gaddis) on the way, especially near Ilaqa Jot. . Indrahar Pass rewards with a beautiful view of the Pir Panjal Range in the North and the Manimahesh Kailash Peak (5656 m) in the East direction. The Indrahar trek is surely an enriching experience for the body and the soul. We will come across some of the best birding site of the Himalayas and have majestic view of might Dhauladhar.

Detail Itinerary :
Day 01) Arrive Chamba (1000 Mts.)
The town of Chamba (1000 mts.), the district headquarter of Chamba district is situated on the right bank of the Ravi river valley between Dhauladhar and Zanskar ranges south of the inner Himalayas. Town founded by Raja Sahil Varman in 920 AD when he conquered the lower Rani valley from the petty chiefs called Ranas and Thakurs. Chamba offer a variety of Scenic beauty. It has preserved the ancient cultural heritage and civilization.There are several old temples and places, some dating back a thousand years.most prominent and revered among these are the Lakshmi Narayan temple, Champavati temple, Vajeshwari Devi Temple, Hari Rai temple and Chamunda Devi temple and other attractions are Chaughan and Bhuri Singh Musuem.

Day 02) Chamba – Bharmour - Holi Drive and trek to - Kuarsi(2730 Mts.) (120 Km Road & 12 kms on feet) / 04 hrs drive + 03-04 hrs trek
Drive to Bharmour and further to Holi/Lamu Village
Bharmaur(2130 mts.) is 65 Km from Chambait remained capital of the Chamba state for over 400 years till 920 AD., when a new capital was founded at Chamba by Raja Sahil Varman. Bharmour possesses ancient temples built in 8th, 9th and 10th centuries. Built in Shikhara style. Temple complex at Bharmour is known as Chaurasi, meaning 84 temples. Legend says that 84 saints came to Bharmour during the region of Raja Sahil Verman and meditated in Bharmaur over 1000 years ago. Due to this the temple complex came to be called Chaurasi. Drive further to Holi. After Lunch we will go to Lamu village where road head will ends. From Lamu actual trek will start to Kuarsi village. After a run of 3km a Hilling a small village will come, another 3km one hour trek will reach you a small suspension wooden bridge knows as Hikim Bridge. After taking small rest at bridge we move to Kuarsi Village 6 km from bridge through gradual gradient through dense forest. A trek of two hrs will reach final destination of the day i.e. Kuarsi village. Overnight stay and dinner will be provided in tents.

Day 03) Kuarsi – Base camp (Alyas) / 04 hrs trek
Kuarsi – Base camp is 8 km trek. After breakfast early in the morning troop will move to base camp of Inderhar Pass. The bases of both side of any passes is known as Alyas and locally known as Lahesh. The trek is of 8 km is gradual and steep. The trek goes through a nallah and a trek of 4-5 hrs will reach at base camp of Inderhar pass. The lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be provided in tents at base camp. The left day is for acclimatization.

Day 04) Base camp - Alyas Caves(3500 Mts.) over Inderhar Pass(4342 Mts.) / 04-05 hrs trek
This 10 Km trek is totally depending upon the weather and physical condition of trekker. Generally Travelling Guide will not take the risk or allow crossing the passes in bad weather conditions and will wait for clearing the sky. If sun shine or sky is clear then after taking tea and light breakfast start moving ahead very early in the morning around 4:00 am to ensure that the snow is frozen for easier walking and if fails to cross the pass before 12:00 pm otherwise will create big problem as heavy snow winds, rainfall even snow fall can be happen. So early in the morning after taking light breakfast and taking packed lunch troop will move to a famous and sacred lake of the pass known as Naag Dall 3km from base camp with steep gradient.After taking holy dip in the lake, we will move further, as it is not allowed staying for longtime at Naag Dall. After a trek of 2 kms through boulders and over snow will reach at the top of Inderhar Pass. From the top of the pass one can view Pir Panjal Range in the north and Mani Mahesh Kailash (5656 M) peak in the east. After taking lunch and small rest at top of the Inderhar Pass move ahead downward to Alyas caves, a run of 2-3 hrs will reach you at Lahesh caves. The dinner and overnight stay will be provided in tents at base camp.

Day 05) Alyas Caves – Triund(2975 Mts.) / 09 Km/ 04 Hrs trek
Triund is a small and beautiful destination in the Himalaya and is situated 9 kms from Bhagsu Nag which is now very famous among foreigner tourist as a trekking paradise. Triund is name of a ridge in Dhauladhar Himalayas and it shows very close look for Moon peak-Inderhar.Pass. After taking breakfast around 8:00 Am 9kms trail will start toward Triund. The trail goes generally through Oak and conifer forest and across the open meadows to the encampment at Laka Got. After a trek of 5-6 hrs will reach at Triund. Spend the left day at Triund and enjoy the beauty of nature and natural resources. The dinner and overnight stay will be provided in tents at Triund.

Day 06) Triund – Mcleodganj / 10 Km/ 03 hrs trek
Early in the morning move ahead toward Mcleodganj throughsmall village Dharamkot. After a trek of 10 km in 3-4 hrs will reach at Mecleodgunj last destination of the trek Mcleodganj is a beautiful town on the top of Dharamshala, blessed equally nature and religion. Mcleodganj often called the ‘Little Lhasa’. This is the residence of His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Buddha temple is situated opposite to the present abode of His Holiness and it is the major centre for the studies of Tibetan culture.
