Day Hike is a hike that is short enough to be completed in a single day​. Hiking is a long walk, usually on trails in the countryside for pleasure. Shimla, Manali, and Dharamshala offers some beautiful day hikes or walk.

Tour 01: Guna Devi Hike / 06 hrs trek

Route: Mcleodganj –Dal Lake-Naddi-Bal–Guna-Mcleodganj

This trek passes through Dal Lake and Naddi village (ascent), again descent to Bhated river 20/30 minutes steep climb up to village Balgaon with a panoramic view of Kangra valley towards south. From here another valley starts and at distance lies Kareri village. Before reaching to the Guna temple a fantastic view of Ghasutri pass-way to Chamba valley is seen. Guna Mata temple is dedicated to goddess Durga. This place is most suitable for meditation. From Balgaon take another route via Galu Mata and Dharamkot village to reach Mcleodganj.

Tour 02: Naddi-Dharamkot Village Hike / 03 hrs trek

Route: Mcleodganj-Naddi –Dharamkot-Bhagsu Nag –Mcleodganj

Drive to Naddi , roads ends here and trek  to Dharamkot through a forested path to Dharamkot. A three hours walk introduces you to the Gaddi lifestyle and the flora & fauna of the region.

Dharamkot is a small village inhabited by local people of Gaddi tribe. from Dharamkot it is about 4 kms walk through Deodar forest to Naddi village. The village provides a beautiful view of the Dhauladhar range. Trek further to Bhagsunag watetfalls

Bhagsunag Falls: At a distance of 2 km from upper town of Dharamshala, Bhagsunag can be approached by road; here an old temple, a fresh water spring, hotels and restaurants are located. Further about 2 km is beautiful Bhagsunag water fall which sooths one's eyes.

Tour 03: Triund Hike / 06 hrs trek

Route: Mcleodganj-Triund-Bhagsunag-Mcleodganj

Day hike to Triund(2827 mts.) : It is a gradual climb of 9 km passes through Dharamkot. Infact several trails lead to Triund from Mcleodganj and meet at a place known as Galu Temple. From the Galu Temple a beautiful path leads to Triund, which is a popular picnic spot at a height of 2827 mts. The area is on the foothills of Dhauladhar range and is 17 km from Dharamsala. The snow line starts at Ilaqua, which is five km from Triund. Triund offers a commanding view of the valley and snow –clad mountains.
