This  peaceful hamlet offers you the beauty of nature through its dense Pine tree forests, ancient temples and the sparkling lakes. Jibhi is not a regular tourist destination thus it is not well developed either and that makes it a perfect offbeat destination and  filled with many camping sites, hiking trails, fishing and bird-watching spots. This place is the stuff that all the good dreams are made of, complete with secret waterfalls, dense pine and deodar forests, cosy homestays, warm people, and the freshesfood that you can imagine. Jibhi lies at just an hour’s drive away from the Great Himalayan National Park, so you can very well imagine the wilderness that is spread here. Trout angling is another experience to indulge in Jibhi, especially because the streams in Banjar Valley have some of the best catch around.

Kothi Chehni : Chehni is home to a five-storey tower temple that is made of rocks and wood; it is a feat to look at, for it has some excellent craftsmanship at display. The leaning tower is supported by a masonry wall, reinforced with horizontal timber logs.

This type of temple tower is a rare example of Pahadi architecture, notably in the Kullu and Kangra. It is a watchtower built in the 17th century by then ruling King Dhadhu. The King and the Queen would sit here and watch over the entire valley below them. This is a at least 40-metres high. it survived the devastating earthquake of 1905 while most of the buildings in the valley were destroyed.

Shringa Rishi Temple : Shringa Rishi is the ruling deity of Banjar valley and the temple is dedicated to him. It is located near to Kothi Chehni.

Chhoie waterfall : Chhoie Waterfall also known as Sai Ropa waterfall in Tirthan Valley can be reached through a short trek of 3 km (45 minutes walk) walk that begins from Village Nagini. The place is adorned by the huge coniferous trees, wild roses, ferns and Iris flowers. There are several treks which originates from here to  Bashleo Pass, Shoja, Seolsar Lake etc. It is probably one of the least explored undiscovered beauty in Himachal Pradesh. There is a Temple on the top dedicated to Jalori Mata.

Serolsar Lake  : Serolsar is a high altitude lake. The lake is about 3,100 metres (10,171 ft) above the sea level and is surrounded by thick forest cover. and accessible via Jalori pass. It is a small body of water located about 5 kilometers from Jalori Pass  and  is one of the major attractive places to visit in Tirthan Valley. .

The lake is considered sacred and there is small temple on its shore.dedicated to Budhi Nagin – goddess of snakes and ghee and mother of all nag deities. Whose sons are considered to be guardians of the valley.  The cold and pure water is like a mirror that reflects the greenery around it and the blue sky from above.

Raghupur Fort : It is about 3 kilometers of a walk from Jalori Pass and will take you an hour to visit.  Fort is now in a state of ruin with just a few walls standing, believed to have been constructed by the rulers of the Mandi dynasty to protect themselves from the attacks of the invaders. The fort is located amid a lovely meadow. Once at the fort, enjoy a beautiful 360-degree view of the valley.

Day 01) Chandigarh– Shimla/ 120 Km / 04 Hrs drive

Arrive Chandigarh by Flight or train and Drive to Shimla.

The British discovered Shimla in the form of a little village in 1819 during the Anglo-Gorkha war. When war broke afresh in 1819, the British took the place with its cool and healthy climate. Here was installed a village of tents, where the heat weary British military and civil officers came to rest and the first house built in 1822, is regarded to be “Kennedy House” which was the residence of Charles Pratt Kennedy, the newly appointed political officer to the hill states. In 1864 under the Viceroyalty of John Lawrence, Shimla was officially declared the Summer Capital of British Empire in India (April to October). - a status is retained upto Indian Independence in 1947. After the independence of India, Shimla became the capital of Punjab until 1966, when it came under Himachal Pradesh. In 1971 Himachal Pradesh became a full fledged state and Shimla became the capital of this state.
